JOB SUMMARY:
Provide the full scope of women and girls services which fall under his/her field of training such as pregnancy care, family planning, hormonal problems, menstrual disorders, gynecologic procedures and surgery, including but not limited to:
Diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, health information and education of all female patients.
In addition, the Ob-Gynaecologist is a member of the St John’s Medical Center’s team. In that capacity, he/she is expected to be familiar and embrace the philosophy, goals and strategies of the institution and work in collaboration with other team members to achieve them.
He/she must be cognizant of, and comply with rules and regulations of both the institution and the profession.
JOB SCHEDULE:
Full time: 5 office weekdays and call-outs outside working hours
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 .Ward rounds for in-patients
2. Coordinate referrals for services not offered within St John’s Medical Centre
3. Participate in hospital’s outreaches on-site and off-site campaigns
4. Participate in peer reviews, quality assurance, clinical and non-clinical meetings
5. Assist in updating clinical practices protocols and supervision and mentorship of junior staff members.
Qualification: MMed/STP in Obs-Gynecology /FRCOG
Affiliation: HPCZ – Specialist register
Valid practicing license
Minimum of two years post qualification professional experience.
