QUALIFICATIONS
Full grade twelve (12) certificate; and
College or University Diploma in mechanical engineering or related field or better from a recognised Institution
Must be a member of Engineering Institute of Zambia
EXPERIENCE
Minimum experience of 7 years as a supervisor and 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager or equivalent;
Must have proven working experience on Sino Trucks ;
Must have proven working experience on graders, excavators, dozers, ADTs, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee repairs for all the company fleet of tippers, ADTs, excavators, dozers, graders, compactors, light vehicles, etc;
Design maintenance policies and procedures;
Prepare workshop budgets and track the budgets and expenses;
Oversee the inspections of equipment to find problems and make necessary repairs;
Schedule maintenance tasks;
Supervise maintenance employees;
Oversee the response to maintenance emergencies;
Monitor equipment reliability and effectiveness;
Ensure that commonly used spare parts are available at all times ;
Drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics; and
Several other functions as advised by the supervisor.
BEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENT
Good leadership, administrative and management skills;
Good oral and inter personal skills;
Good problem solving and decision making skills to be able to resolve departmental issues;
Good report writing skills;
Should be result oriented and able to work in a multi- cultural environment;
Should be able to work with minimum supervision;
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems;
Must have technical and non-technical skills;
Must be able to cope with pressure;
Must be ready to work out side working hours;
Must be Computer Literate
Holder of a clean and valid driver’s license.
