Metro SDA Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Monitor and report on the hospital’s financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Develop and implement efficient financial systems, policies, and procedures.
Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow projections.
Liaise with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,pastel, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
