 Electrical Engineer- positions (2)

 Reporting to – The Project Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Sinohydro Zambia Limited is currently looking for qualified, hardworking Electrical Engineers with at least more than 2 years of work experience in power line projects. Suitable candidates should be familiar with the design of transmission and distribution systems and very knowledgeable about the general/technical requirements of power line design in Zambia.

• Must be familiar with the design of transmission and distribution systems of power lines and be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
• Must be very familiar with the General/Technical Requirements of power line design in Zambia as well as the relevant codes, rules, regulations and standards to observe during design of power lines.
• Should be able to conduct site inspections and prepare monthly data based on the inspections.
• Should understand detailed electrical drawings especially about power lines, transformers and other related equipment.
• Should be able to communicate with the employer as well as other regulatory boards.
• Must have good communication skills.

Experience and Skills required:

• Should be a registered member of the Engineering institution of Zambia.
• Should have a bachelor of science in Electrical engineering or advanced.
• Should have a minimum of a full Grade 12 school certificate.
• Ideal candidates must have at least 2-5 years of work experience preferably on power line design.
• Should be familiar with software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft office and other relevant ones.
• Should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
