The Judiciary is an arm of Government established under Part VIII of the Constitution (Amendment) No. 2 of 2016. Its mission is “To administer justice to all in an independent, impartial, competent and timely manner”. In order to improve service delivery, The Judiciary is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacancies.

Senior Procurement and Supplies Officer (JSS 10) x 2 (Annual Basic Salary of (K104,113.08) to be based in Lusaka and Ndola

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidates will be required to report to the Chief Procurement and Supplies Officer and will be responsible for the following duties:

i. Supervise and undertake effectively the development and implementation of the procurement plan in order to guide the procurement process and facilitate decision making;

ii. Supervise and undertake ellicicntly the provision of secretarial services to The Judiciary procurement committee in order to facilitate smooth conduct of meetings;

iii. Supervise and undertake timely and accurately the preparation of bidding documents to ensure transparency in tendering procedures and facilitate compliance with laid down procedures; and

iv. Supervise and undertake timely procurement of goods, services and works in order to meet end user requirements.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT

Minimum Primary/Secondary Education
Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate with at least 5 O’levels including English
Minimum Vocational/Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience
3 years’ experience
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
