Overview

Position Reports to:  Chief Executive Officer

Position directly supervises: Project Officer

Job Description

The purpose of the project  is to enhance the resilience and health of natural resource department ecological and human communities around the region through strong public-private-community partnerships and enterprise.

Main Job Purpose

The Programme Manager  will have primary responsibility for the delivery of all aspects of the  sub-contract under. This will include activity and financial planning, delivery of programme components, supervision of field-based Project Officer, liaison with lead- and other sub-contractors, and reporting.

Community Development

• Oversee the development of community, education, enterprise and livelihood hubs
• Develop livelihood capacity building activities curriculum in entrepreneurship with participation from the communities and other partners

• Provide technical support to the local community resource boards in implementing livelihoods capacity building and entrepreneurship skill training.
• Oversee conservation awareness, gender, and health training programmes;
• Support Community Resource Boards for implementing livelihood capacity building and entrepreneurship skills activities;

Financial Inclusion

• Working with other LLCA partners, develop a strategy for the delivering of financial services to rural communities
• Oversee the development of a capacity building plan for financial inclusion, and create an efficient platform for the provision of access and financial inclusion solutions to underserved populations in target areas
• Develop new ideas/concepts that increase uptake of development credit by rural communities.

Programme Management

• Lead the preparation of workplans, activity and budget planning and other processes as advised by the lead contractor
• Ensure preparatory tasks for implementing project activities are completed according to workplan, including financial and supply chain documents that align with project and doner compliance policy
