Position: Environmental/Sustainability Intern
Location: Livingstone, Southern Province, Zambia.
Reporting to: Senior Environmental/Sustainability Consultant
Period of Contract: 6-month renewable

Role Summary
Reporting to the Senior Environmental/Sustainability Consultant, your duties will include but not limited to the following;
- Providing support to the implementation and operations of projects, programs and assignment
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders (local authorities etc.) as required based on projects requirements
- Assisting with drafting proposals, EOI, RFP, etc.,
- Drafting and submission of reports to concerned parties in a timely manner
- Assisting with waste materials recovery projects in terms of implementation and operation
- This is a part-time role and the successful applicant shall be required to work from home (80%), and office (10%) and field (10%) depending projects requirements.
- Assisting with drafting Environmental Assessments (EPB, EIA, ESIA) report and ensure timely submission to the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA)
- Providing support in the implementation of day to day operations
- Executing other duties as assigned by the supervisor

This role is for a recent graduate residing in Livingstone, and currently looking for internship or voluntary role/opportunity in the environmental/sustainability sector. The role is for applicants interested in learning and gaining exposure and looking to advance experience. NB: This is NOT a Paid-Internship or Voluntary role. However, a successful applicant shall be entitled to some payment or allowance for their participation or role in implementing new or up coming projects once confirmed by our potential clients or funders.
Experience & Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or Advanced Certificate in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Waste Management, Circular Economy, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- No work experience required, however experience is added advantage.
- Those with own PC, smart phone will have an added advantage
- Ability to work in team
- Good written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Good Computer skills
- Available when required
