PATH is currently recruiting a Program Officer for Partnerships and Impact, who will support the Digital Square Project. The Program Officer will provide support to the Deputy Director of Partnerships supporting resource mobilization and engaging strategic partners in the Digital Square Project. This position will support the learning agenda and monitoring and evaluation for the project, working closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Manager. The Program Officer should be a critical thinker, strong communicator, organized, results oriented, and have a natural curiosity for solving complex ecosystem problems. This position reports to the Deputy Director of Partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Digital Square initiative in responding to proposals and other solicitations for funding opportunities, including:
- Work with internal team members to develop and refine activities, indicators, and learning agendas for concept notes and proposals.
- Draft or support the creation of materials to share with donors, including customized informational materials.
- Support the team in tracking new opportunities, contributing to research, and information gathering.
- Support reporting requirements for existing and new awards, ensuring that objectives and timelines are communicated effectively to donors.
- Work with Digital Square team members across the global team to collect information on progress of award activities, status of monitoring indicators, and description of outputs and outcomes.
- Draft reports to support donor reporting.
- Work in partnership with the Deputy Director of Partnerships and the Communications team to develop materials needed to engage different actors in the Digital Square theory of change.
- Update and maintain Digital Square partnership materials, such as capability statements and other standard communications materials.
- Work closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Manager to strengthen the Digital Square team culture of learning to drive impact.
- Facilitate learning activities (e.g., reflection sessions) with the team.
- Synthesize and document insights and lessons learned as they relate to the Digital Square learning agenda.
- In partnership with the Executive Director, co-lead monthly internal and external “Learn and Connect” meetings with the Digital Square Board and Digital Square Investors.
- Organize and contribute to ecosystem research, desk reviews, or other assessments as needed to:
- Support Digital Square awareness and engagement of partners.
- Update and refine key documents related to Digital Square’s theory of change and communicate our impact.
- Coordinate more broadly with other PATH teams and projects housed in the Center of Digital and Data Excellence (CoDE) to support appropriate engagement with Digital Square and partnerships across PATH.
- Support Digital Square and CoDE business development and partnership activities as needed.
Required Experience
- Master’s degree and a minimum of 3-5 years relevant global health experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior digital health experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting proposals and business development activities.
- Experience coordinating and interacting with donors, NGO partners, and other actors in the global health ecosystem.
- A passion for partnerships and supporting infusion of health outcome impact into the technical digital health ecosystem.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to write about technical topics in an approachable way.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information and communicate it to various audiences.
- Interest in evaluating the impact of a global digital health initiative. Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation (M&E) principles and approaches and/or digital health frameworks is a plus.
- Openness to working with a diverse set of actors across PATH and in the digital health ecosystem.
- Proven ability to take initiative, learn quickly, anticipate needs and challenges, and find solutions.
- Ability to apply a strategic lens to projects and spot trends, activity duplication, and project synergies.
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time, tasks, and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success working effectively while under deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and working in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to work in team environment with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English required. Working knowledge of French preferred.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the country of PATH office location.
Remote Work:
PATH continues to evolve to support our employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, most of PATH’s US based positions are temporarily 100% remote, within commuting distance to our PATH offices. When PATH transitions more broadly to in-person work, we will operate with a hybrid workplace model. Hybrid employees must reside within commuting distance to one of our PATH offices. PATH’s US offices are in Seattle, WA and Washington, D.C.
COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement:
PATH has instituted a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all employees, interns, consultants, and temporary staff based in the United States.
