Procurement Officer National Arts Council of Zambia

The National Arts Council of Zambia invites applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill one vacant position.

PROCUREMENT OFFICER

We are looking for a Procurement Officer to undertake the procurement of goods, services and works in order to meet the objectives and goals of the National Arts Council of Zambia

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Research potential vendors
• Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• Review quality of purchased products
• Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases)
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
• Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trends

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Personal Attributes:

The job holder will be expected to be mature, reliable, honest, approachable, gender sensitive and with high integrity.

Academic and Professional Qualifications:-

• Minimum of Grade 12 (Form V) level of Education.
• Minimum of Diploma awarded by a recognized training institution in procurement
• A member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
• Relevant work experience of at least two years with knowledge of Government procurement systems
• Knowledge of the Zambia Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020
