Job description:

PURPOSE

  • The Artisan, Body Repair will be responsible for safely executing maintenance work according

to the prescribed standards while ensuring the safety of self and others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The suitable candidate will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
  • Prime and paint repaired surfaces using paint spray guns and motorized sanders.
  • Sand body area to be painted and cover bumpers, windows and trim with masking tape or paper to protect them from paint.
  • Fill small dents that cannot be worked out with plastic or solder.
  • Review damage reports, prepare or review repair cost estimates and plan work to be formed.
  • Any other relevant work as stipulated by direct supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Grade Twelve (Grade 12) School Certificate
  • Vehicle Body Repair – Craft Certifica

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience
  • Basic boilermaker skills will be an added advantage.
