A. Job Purpose

The job-holder reports to the Superintendent – Electrical and is responsible for repairing and coordinating maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure maximum availability and efficiency of operations.

B. Key Responsibilities

1. Undertaking repairs of electrical equipment and machinery
2. Carrying out preventive maintenance on plant and equipment
3. Installing and maintaining electrical equipment and machinery
4. Swift and timely identification of probable risk issues in the area of operation, and ensuring that these are attended to or escalated as required.
5. Assisting with the timely preparation and submission of maintenance reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, or as required.

C. Qualifications and Experience

i. Grade 12 School Certificate or General Certificate of Education
ii. Craft Certificate in Electrical from a recognized institution
iii. One (1) years’ relevant experience.
iv. Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
v. Knowledge of plant operations, sewer networks, water supply and Sanitation.
