Bollore Transport and Logistics Zambia Ltd is pleased to announce an incredibly exciting job opportunity to join our Commercial team at our Lusaka Head Office as Field Sales Executive.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Under the general supervision of the Commercial Manager, the Field Sales Executive will be responsible for the promotion of both the service and facilities of Bollore Transport and Logistics Zambia and Bollore Group and to generate new revenues through business development within and outside the Bollore network.
FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To contact potential Clients with a view to promote the services and facilities of Bollore Transport and Logistics Zambia with the worldwide support network of the Bollore Group.
- To generate new business for Bollore Transport and Logistics Zambia.
- To keep regular contact with existing clients and continue to develop good customer relations and to take note of any complaints and/or suggestions to ensure that these are followed up immediately with proper corrective actions.
- To ensure feedback to client in full with progress of corrective actions.
- To always communicate with Senior Management and when necessary seek assistance to secure potential clients.
- To prepare a variety of sales status reports including Meeting/ activity reports, minutes of meetings, follow-up correspondence, reports, etc.
- To follow up on referrals and new leads
- To develop a Sales pipeline and report on the CONCERTO software
- To present and sell Company’s services and products to current and prospective clients who visit us.
- To prepare Rate proposals, respond to RFP’s/RFQ’ and Tenders.
- To prepare quotations on the Quotation Software and abide by Group KPI in this regard.
- To maintain existing clients’ relationship
- To develop new clients relationship and ensure deployment of new business until first shipments are well established and client is satisfied
- To understand customers’ needs and logistics requirements and propose competitive solutions
- To develop good relations with Customs and other Government Institutions
- To structure and quote on tailor made solutions for customers
- To provide most competitive and effective rates, routes and services.
- To update and share all rates related to Bollore Logistics services.
- To prepare quotations to customers based on their specific requirements
- To provide quotation to clients within 24hrs from the time the request is received or to provide feedback within 24 hours if quotations may request more time to conclude
- To seek prior approval from Managers to validate quotations
- To ensure quotations are closed with clear status.
- To maintain hit rate ratio above 30%
- To hand over file and relevant implementation notes to middle office once quotation is approved
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Diploma in Sales/ Marketing
- At least 2-3 years of work experience; experience in a logistics industry will be an added advantage.
- Must be fluent in both written and verbal English.
- Must be fluent with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines timeously.
- Must be able to work independently, be self-assured and have a diplomatic personality
