POSITION: GENERAL MANAGER
Key Responsibilities:
Improve efficiency and increase profits while managing the overall operations of the company. Oversce several elements in a business, including hiring staff, operating budgets, and growing the product offering.
Main tasks include:
- Lead and coordinate activities of businesses departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales and distribution of products,
- Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing improvement.
- Develop and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, short term long term strategies and procedures, confering with board members, organization officials, and staff members as necessary
- Manage financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
- Act as the figurative head of the organization when communicating with stockholders, goverment entities and the general public
- Manage overall operations and make major decisions affecting the organization
- Manage the organization’s resources
- Negotiate or approve agreements and contracts for the organization.
- Manage company organizational structure.
- Communicate with the board of directors
- Develop and uphold the company’s culture and mission vision
- Implement strategic plans by working with senior stakcholders Requirements
- Master’s Degree in a Business Related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce or equivalent
- 10 Years’ experience in a FMCG sector Personal Attributes:
- Strong leadership skills, able to plan and execute independently
- Confidentiality • Able to handle multiple projects and multi-cultural teams simultaneously,
- Able to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Regional travel is required
Skills required:
- Excellent managerial and financial skills and the ability to take leadership over any business operations area
- Superlative communication skills particularly the ability to communicate as a leader
- Thorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas and phases of the business operations
