EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced applicants to fill the following vacant position in the Information and Communications Technology Department
SENIOR APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER (1) ECZ 2 HQ
Reporting to the Manager -ICT Systems, the Senior Applications Developer will develop and deploy ICT information systems that meet Examinations Council of Zambia requirements and specifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake feasibility studies and analyze projects to determine their viability of software development
- Code and test planned systems
- Investigate, analyse and document reported defects in developed systems
- Prepare specifications for System Acceptance Testing
- Conduct training for all stakeholders before implementation of developed systems
- Prepare Release notes for major system upgrades
- Prepare Gap Analysis documents on implemented systems
- Modify and update in-house developed software applications to meet user requirements
- Create interfaces for data capture to support other assessments
- Observe, troubleshoot, test, diagnose and resolve faults in the software
- Set targets and agree to performance measures in order to meet the strategic objectives of the institution
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- School Certificate or its equivalent
- Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, ICT, Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Software Development
- Member of ICTAZ or EIZ
