Performance & Reporting Manager (1)

Designation: Performance & Reporting Manager (1)

Reporting Line: Chief Financial Officer

Business Unit: Finance Department

Location: Lusaka

Job Purpose:

To provide business intelligence and facilitate regulatory and Group reporting

 

 

Key Outputs & Responsibilities:

  • Review of GL entries/accruals/transactions and correctness before management accounts preparation. Also check that the accounting entries and treatment are in line with IFRS Standards.
  • Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls through review of GL reconciliations and follow up with preparers on the queries raised
  • Preparation/review/submission of management accounts and prudential returns on time
  • Providing clarifications and answers on queries arising from submitted management accounts and prudential returns
  • Preparation/review of quarterly BOZ publication
  • Coordinate the Company’s annual audit with auditors
  • Preparation/review of annual financial statements
  • Verification of daily sales and preparation of daily sales report
  • Preparation of monthly Sales performance report
  • Preparation of branch profitability report and efficiency
  • Review on loan collections and report on performance of the loan book
  • Review of ZRA statements for any penalties and applying for waivers.
  • Reminder and follow up on filling of all tax types (PAYE, WHT, IPL and ITX)
  • Preparation of industry position and performance of company in relation to other competitors in the market
  • Controlling and forecasting income and expenditure-Budgeting process

Required Attributes

  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Planning & organising skills
  • Management and control skills
  • IT literate-accounting & Microsoft applications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 credits including English and Mathematics
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • ACCA/CIMA qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable University
  • Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
  • Must have strong leadership and managerial abilities, good interpretational skills and be able to work under pressure
  • Experience in the financial sector will be an added advantage
