St Ignatius College is a private non – profit Catholic Jesuit Secondary school located in ibex Hill Lusaka (Zambia) and wholly owned by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). The College is seeking for an Intern who is a dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified individual to perform procurement functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the college
Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers
Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and supply from a reputable University;
Two to Five years’ experience in procurement management
Professional affiliation a must
