We are currently looking for passionate CHEFS (2) to join our team of the committed and hardworking workforce; to provide enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and prompt service.
Responsibilities
- Experience in a variety of different kitchens with exposure to the banqueting
- Proven creativity in menu planning and recipe creation
- Ability to ensure meals are produced on time, and sufficient quantities are available
- Thorough knowledge of food preparation and servicing
- Ensure consistent and smooth running of food production
- Ensure adequate stock purchase, its receipt, and storage
- Ensure that working areas are always kept clean
- Assist other kitchen staff as the need arises
- Perform other administrative tasks as will be communicated by superiors
- Ensure that required standards are adhered to in the production and preparation of food – in quality, quantity, and safety
- Work towards exceeding customer’s expectations by encouraging and promoting a high level of service
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specification and served at the correct quality
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared
Qualifications
- Grade 12 school certificate
- Diploma in Food Production or relevant
- Must have at least 2-year experience working in a professional kitchen or similar position
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to multitask
