Northern Coffee Corporation Limited a subsidiary of OLAM International Limited is looking to hire a qualified Workshop foreman at Kateshi Estate.
GENERAL FOREMAN WORKSHOP (1POSITION)
Education and Experience
Must have a minimum qualification in Agricultural Mechanical Engineering Diploma with 15 years’ experience to manage all types of vehicles.
Reporting Line: Workshop Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Identify faults and Maintain fleet vehicles and tractors in good working order by following the preventive and corrective maintenance schedules according to OEM and company standard.
2. Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear/ tear and determine the extent of damage or malfunction.
3. Tear down, repair and rebuild fault assemblies such as power systems and test mechanical parts products/ equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications.
4. Assess and accurately communicate daily machinery progress with WM and estate managers for efficient production
5. Receive and prioritize multiple jobs and demands based upon the best outcome possible for operations
6. Provide safety and production supervision and instruction to workshop employees for troubleshooting, repair, maintenance of vehicles/ tractors and motor bikes.
7. Supervise and motivate the team of service mechanics and proactively reviewing daily workload to seek opportunities that will help drive performance with the workshop manager.
8. Manage and organize tools and equipment to support the workshop activities with the workshop manager.
9. Plan, daily management of workshop operations with the workshop manager.
10. Brief w/shop staff on daily work to be done while providing motivation on assigned task
11. Drive operational excellence across the estates, develop and implement best practices and making extensive use of machinery SOP.
