African Grey Insurance Limited is seeking to recruit an insurance professional to fill the position of Underwriting Assistant to be based at Head Office reporting to the Underwriting and Claims Manager.
JOB PURPOSE
To efficiently and effectively perform underwriting functions to ensure smooth and profitable operations.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business development: Acquiring of new business
- Debt Management: Premium collection based on company credit guidelines
- Preparation of renewals
- Attending to all clients promptly
- Issuance of policy documents
- Issuance of quotations, Cover notes and COMESA Yellow Card
- Risk assessments & inspections
- Filling and sound record keeping management
- Preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Must possess a Diploma in Insurance, a degree will be an added advantage
- Work experience of two (2) years and above
- Innovative & Creative, Interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Strong Analytical skills & attention to Detail
