1. MAINTENANCE MANAGER – ZAMLEATHER TANNERY (X1)
The successful candidate will be responsible for the below:
- Monitoring all plant machines & equipment related to Electrical & mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronics. Also make sure they function properly as per standard operation.
- Maintenance records to be kept of all machines with manual book.
- Ensure optimal use of electricity / water / genset fuel always check procedure of efficient & effective uses of these resources & discuss with tannery manager.
- Create preventive maintenance schedule for all machines in plant & arrange with maintenance staff duties to follow schedule without disturbing production & keep record of preventive maintenance schedule.
- Responsible for up keeping stock records of all maintenance inventory in technical store also monitor & maintain minimum stocks for all spare parts items to avoid delaying fixing machines. Create a stock holding procedure and issuing of spare parts.
- To assign duties to all maintenance staff & follow up to make sure they are doing a proper job without delaying & completing task within good time frame to avoid loss of production.
- Attend the break down for machines reported by production team immediately & assign the team to fix it as soon as possible & hand over the machine to production department.
- Make sure do the assessment of break down yourself & assign maintenance staff to fixing it with proper guidance & detail instructions to complete task.
- Prepare KPI for all maintenance staff & conduct monthly performance evolution of each maintenance staff by checking records of attended break downs by each individual.
- Make sure to order all important imported spares which locally not available for machine with good time frame by using correct service manuals through proper planning.
- Always make sure whatever solution to provide machine fixing must be cost effective & reliable.
- Compressor / genset / boiler make sure to service them properly on time & maintain the records of all properly to prepare monthly report.
- Servicing of all machines at annual “shut down” to be carried out in case it planned then make sure all spares & staff or if need expert then available for it.
- Before performing any maintenance task, take a risk assessment as well safety measurement for that job to avoid potential damages to staff & machineries.
- Maintain the effluent treatment plant all machines, equipment, tanks, drainage channels properly & Make sure all machines & equipment carry out preventing maintenance to avoid break downs, specially Decanter machine.
- Prepare the Job card for each machine & maintain the record of spares consumption for each individual machine in order to understand efficiency & effectiveness of that equipment to suggest replacement plan.
- Other Duties as assigned”
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Tech Diploma in mechanical
- 5 – 10 years’ heavy industry experience.
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic knowledge,
- Computer knowledge (Excel)
- Electrical & Electronics knowledge will be an advantage
