Position Overview:
The purpose of this role is to restore the lives of prisoners, their families, and victims in the African region through a network of PFI ministry partners. The regional coordinator will work under the direction of the Regional Director and Regional Managers to implement and monitor program and capacity-building partnerships with our national ministries (NMs) in the region according to PFI standards. The coordinator will also support the regional office in coordinating other activities that promote the measurable growth of the movement across the region in terms of capacity, market reach, and market penetration.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate Program Partnerships according to program standards:
a. Coordinate collection and review of documentation required for quarterly and annual reviews of PFI’s programs.
b. Coordinate onsite reviews and virtual meetings.
c. Lead annual onsite reviews.
d. Provide technical support to NMs.
e. Identify and share best practices with NMs.
f. Support RD to identify and assess suitable NMs for the partnership pipeline.
g. Support new program partners in all aspects of program preparation and implementation.
2. Coordinate Capacity Building Partnerships:
a. Coordinate virtual and onsite capacity reviews of NMs
b. Coordinate collection and review of documentation associated with partnership implementation.
c. Support RD to identify and assess suitable NMs for capacity-building partnerships.
d. Coordinate regional forum preparation and implementation.
3. Other projects and duties as assigned.
Note:
Staffing levels differ region by region. While this role primarily focuses on coordination functions, some management tasks may be required, as will a range of tasks at the specialist level. This reflects the matrix management nature of PFI and the complexities of implementing multiple initiatives within a region

• Fluency in English is required. French language communication skills are desired but not required.
• Available for regional and international travel up to ten (10) trips per year (≤ 25%). Willing to work flexible hours to accommodate time zones in other regions where PF staff and contractors are based.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or suitable higher education
• Five+ (5+) years of experience in the project management coordinator field
• Proficiency in using digital technology, including Microsoft Suite, video conferencing, and project management tools (access to reliable internet infrastructure required). Experience working in a regional/or international environment or with diverse business partners.
Work status
• Full Time with annual contract renewable based on performance appraisal.
