To effectively engage in teaching activities, following timetable and ensuring safety of students in teaching and learning facilities as well as maximum utilization of teaching and learning materials.
The Lecturer will work with the Programme Coordinator on administrative functions of the department.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching of students allocated
2. Supervision of students
3. Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
4. Development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
5. Participate in seminars aimed at sharing research, outcomes and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.
6. Participate in the development, administration and marking of examinations and other assessments.
7. Maintain own continuing professional development.
8. Actively follow and promote College policies and procedures.
9. Submitting performance Evaluation Reports of each individual student twice per semester to the Coordinator.
10. Maintain an awareness and observation of fire, health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Grade 12 full certificate
- BSc in Nursing and Registered with NMCZ
- Completed pedagogical courses for higher education (or equivalent pedagogical expertise)
- A strong student-centric approach to ways of working and commitment to excellence.
- Excellent communication skills and style, able to communicate complex and conceptual ideas in a way that is creative, accessible, easy-to-understand, and inspiring for beginners.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in working as a member of a team or with other stakeholders.
- Constructive approach to team working and inclusiveness of colleagues from different backgrounds, culture, and areas of expertise.
- Ability to work independently and to be self-driven, showing initiative in identifying problems, planning, and developing creative and innovative and/or practical solutions, and managing related processes in a busy environment with conflicting priorities.
