Job Description

Provide the Credit function with information system solutions through availability of reliable information, data integrity, identifying and defining business needs as well as managing the delivery of such solutions as extraction, analysis and interpretation of data for decision-making, planning and reporting purposes. Provision of reporting, insights and analytics for a portfolio across multiple lending related products and/or segments across the credit lifecycle (e.g., originations, account management, collections) in order to inform business decision making & strategy formulation. To enable the business to access and interpret reports and dashboards, and to utilise the available reporting tools efficiently and effectively. To drive the automation of relevant production reports to ensure efficiency and accuracy of reports.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate preparation/ submission of monthly credit returns by ensuring that MIS data is extracted and validated on time.
Manage small projects on the MIS database to deliver new functionality for new and existing products
Manage stakeholder and customer interface regarding system enhancements and delivery cycle (cost, time and quality)
Ensure monthly exception reports are produced to maintain cleanliness and integrity of country data
Maintenance of the MIS database with a view of improving and maintaining data integrity.
Provide training on existing and new MIS tools in country to departmental staff.
Compile and maintain daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc Management Information and Statistical Returns / Schedules for Credit Finance and administratively assist other units with MIS needs.
Attend to administrative duties within Credit Finance as assigned by the Credit Finance Manager.
Monitor allocated suspense accounts ensure all those that are inactive are written-off after approval from the relevant stakeholders.
Generation and submission of the weekly arrears report from the MIS database platform.
Maintain and reconcile the expense register on monthly basis. Reconciliation of costs incurred in the month under review.
Prepare and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and supervisory requirements, to protect the reputation of the Group and to avoid legal action/sanction in respect of regulatory and operational compliance matters.
At any given time adhere to all ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of all Credit Risk and bank information.

Qualifications

Diploma/ Degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Computing, Statistics and/or part qualified ACCA/CIMA above level 2.
