Currently you will not be on a salary as we are a start-up. Some expenses will be covered by the company.
However you will be put on a salary when your contract is changed to Full-Time or the company gains sustainable revenues through your effort.
Location: Must be based in Lusaka, Zambia (unfortunately relocation costs will not be covered if you are based outside Lusaka)

Responsibilities
- Plan, budget and implement activities for timely and effective generation of results.
- Conduct monitoring of project activities.
- Manage the Research and Development (R&D) activities of the project at site level.
- Develop and maintain, in collaboration with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) expert, a database of project technical activities, and stakeholder profiles.
- Prepare project technical reports.
- Supervise and contribute to the capacity building initiatives of project activities under implementation.
- Establish business performance targets and metrics, and be accountable for the overall performance of the Agricultural and forestry practice.
- Contribute to the global annual strategy, planning and budgeting processes of the project sourcing teams.
- Structure long term, complex and strategic partnerships and deals with project owners and other stakeholders to meet the yearly and quarterly goals of the agricultural sourcing practice.
- Gather market intelligence and identify industry trends in the agricultural practice Serve as a subject expert when required in client meetings, exhibitions and other corporate events and represent South Pole in different forums on the topic of agriculture and environmental markets
- Analyzes GIS and remote sensing data to estimate tree cover on forested areas near the Tsiro intervention area
- Assists with identifying and accessing shape files or GIS data for forested areas and other data from existing data sources
- Access existing, freely available remote sensing data to generate a dataset of tree cover over time in selected forested.
- Assist in planning and implementing farm activates at our subsidiary company
Qualifications/Requirements
- University degree or diploma in Agroforestry
- Below the age of 35
- Strong quantitative skills and the ability to use data and metrics to inform decisions
- Outstanding leadership skills, with the ability to inspire action and get the best out of people
- Resides in Lusaka
