Background

The position of Operations Coordinator shall be responsible to coordinate and oversee the various areas of the NetOne Group’s operational activities which have a high dependency on electrical systems and therefore the suitable candidate must have prior experience working with high voltage electrical equipment. The Operations Coordinator shall be further responsible for all logistics, buildings & motor vehicle maintenance oversight.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary duties and responsibilities of the position will include but are not restricted to:
Troubleshoot and work with approved contractors to manage, maintain and repair various electrical systems, cooling systems and related mechanical systems;
Ensure pro-active maintenance of the various building facilities and motor vehicles;
Be the first point of contact to handle all operational repairs, maintenance and related activities of the various assets within the Group.
Manage and ensure prompt delivery of the various building and other operational aspects of the group including direct maintenance of buildings & other logistical assets within the Group;
Work with the Technical Services team to service customers for new installations of electrical, cooling or other required elements as designated by the company;
Facilitate and ensure contractors / vendors complete the repair and maintenance work within required timelines and standards;
Support other internal and external users with various operational demands that arise from time to time;
Ensure prompt completion of projects by organizing and coordinating information and requirements, planning and relevant procurement is managed appropriately;
Be responsible and manage the various contractual obligations for maintenance contracts;
Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors and / or vendors for all aspects of utilities and building management;
Oversee and coordinate the various security aspects of the business including being the first point of escalation for any security related issues;
Manage and coordinate motor vehicle maintenance within the Group; and
Prepare operational and administrative reports that provide insights to the various operational aspects of the Group.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or related field;
A MINIMUM of five years’ work experience with relevant experience in electrical systems;
Excellent interpersonal and good communication skills
Computer literate
Good multi-tasker
Able to work in a fast paced environment
A mature personality;
Available 24/7 order to attend to emergencies
MUST hold a valid drivers’ license.
