Zambia Sugar Plc. is a subsidiary of Illovo Sugar Africa (Pty) Ltd Group and is the leading sugar producer in Zambia. Its main activities are the growing of sugar cane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products.
The Company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Hospital Administrator in the Medical Section.
The position reports to the Medical Services Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of all medical infrastructure, coordination of procurement, budget consolidation and statutory compliance.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Preparations of Medical administration budgets.t
- Ensuring that Medical administrative procedures and policies are in place and implemented.
- Supervision of Medical Admin Clerk, Medical Records Clerk and Ambulance Drivers
- Registering all company health facilities and staff with professional bodies such as Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ), General Nursing Council (GNC) and Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZMRA).
- Ensuring that any audit findings by HPCZ, GNC, ZAMRA, MoH and other regulatory bodies are rectified.
- Compiling monthly medical flash reports for the section.
- Generating departmental sick leave and man hour loss reports
- Ensuring that sick leave is captured by the Medical Clerks.
- Ordering and monitoring stationary usage.
- Preparation of emergency duty rosters for standby officers.
- Preparation of duty roster for Clerks and Drivers.
- Monitoring usage and movements of Ambulances.
- Preparation and monitoring of medical manpower establishment.
- Raising of Recruitment Requisition forms for the section.
- Preparations of annual medical reports for head office.
- Preparation with the help of Medical Services Manager, quarterly board paper.
- Capex budgeting and execution for the section.
- Preparation of Kronos inputs for the medical staff and supervising the unionized wages input.
- Monitoring the billing of private patients.
- Stock control
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelors degree in Public Administration / Business Administration
- Minimum 2 years’ work experience in similar capacity
- Experience in a private health facility will be an added advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Report writing skills
