Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Camp Services Coordinator to join the versatile Commercial Services Team.
Reporting to Camp Services Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing timely support in all Camp and Travel functions across site
Your duties will include but not limited to the following:
- Coordinate the Camp Services systems and identify and prioritize improvements opportunities and formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and methods.
- Camp Services business partner for LMC site offices, which include Inflight Management, Camp Management contract, Travel Management Contract, Bussing Services Contract, Contractor camp costs back-charge management and SOX compliance.
- Provide direction and guidance on Travel and Camp related issues to Department Heads.
- Coordinate the process of year-end reviews by being the sectional point of contact for all year end activities, maintaining up to date records of all activities.
- Maintain a fully functional administration office environment and related services.
- Project management around variety of camp related issues and strategies
- Responsible for the quality delivery of Travel and Camp Services including Bussing and business travel
- Maintain and develop relationships with stakeholders in LMC’s mining activities, consistent with Barrick’s Community Relations Policies.
- Other Camp Services tasks and projects as required from time to time.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Degree Qualifications in Business Administration/Hospitality Management or relevant field.
- Minimum of (6) years’ experience in a senior site-based role or similar corporate role.
- Strong background in Camp Management, including operations in camp reception, catering, housekeeping, laundry, grounds, stores, maintenance & asset management.
- Experience in transport, fleet management, logistics contract, operations, and planning management.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have good understanding of Camp / Resort Management.
- Experience in the mining industry at least two (2) years will be an added advantage.
- Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent
