SENIOR DISTRICT MANAGER- MONGU
Responsibilities
To plan, coordinate and manage operations at the District involved in the provision of quality water and sanitation services, commercial services including customer relations so as to contribute to service delivery and financial viability of the Company.

Location: Mongu District
Statement of Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares the monthly work plans according to agreed targets, assigns work and monitors the work activities of subordinates in order to meet the set targets.
- Prepares detailed narrative, statistical or technical quarterly reports.
- Ensures through supervision of operations at the District, availability of quality water and sanitation servicers in accordance with Service Level Guarantees (SLG).
- Implements the Maintenance Management System (MMS) in the District in order to maintain equipment and facilities for maximum production at the minimum costs.
- Ensures good quality drinking water in accordance to World Health Organization (WHO) standards and good quality effluent discharge through submission of samples from the district for testing
- Supervises revenue collection in the District in order to meet or exceed set targets.
- Resolves customer complaints referred to him/her by subordinates.
- Conducts periodic inspections of all facilities in the District to verify their status.
- Supervises, trains, coaches and disciplines subordinates.
- Implements the Performance Management Systems (PMS) in order to improve employee productivity in the District.
- Responsible for larger more valuable plant / equipment or machinery.
- Solves technical financial Human Resource and administrative problems at the District referring more complex ones to Head Office for assistance and resolution.
- Participates in the Annual Budgeting to ensure that the District operates within the approved budget.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Water Engineering
- Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
- Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience in the water and sanitation sector.
