Job description:
Overall Job Purpose
- Supervise a group of team members using effective feedback and communication of company goals and company targets while assessing work performance and identifying areas for improvement and training opportunities.
Specific Job Responsibility
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include:
- Ensuring that your section works to weekly plan, provide coaching and mentoring for employees.
- Attend weekly planning meetings, review weekly plans to ensure that they are realistic and achievable.
- Ensure pm inspections are being carried out to the highest quality.
- Ensure timely completion of paperwork of the highest quality and handed back to planners to update cmms.
- Provide leadership and mentoring for artisans including training and development, performance management, conflict management and crisis management.
- Ensuring the right people are in the right job.
- Ensuring the unplanned breakdown work is managed effectively and all work captured in pronto.
- Provision of technical advises for existing equipment and development projects.
- Understand and adhere to company’s policies and procedures.
Job Specific Competencies
- Actively participate in all section activities, shift handover communication, tool box meetings and any other activities.
- Accurate records management
- Oversee the execution of weekly plan for the maintenance activities.

Experience required to perform in this job
- Must be familiar with safe working practices.
- Minimum 3 years Mining experience on Mobile Mine equipment.
- 2 years general experience in Mining.
- Able to read, understand and reference Maintenance manuals.
- Experience in medium vehicles (trucks).
Qualifications
- Must have Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma in HER or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and having driving experience for 12 months.
- Valid EIZ certificate
