Key Accountabilities
- Installing new Refrigeration & HVAC Systems
- Installing climate-control systems
- Understanding compliance standards
- Knowledge of local building codes
- Welding, soldering, and brazing techniques as required
- Repairing and Upgrade Refrigeration & HVAC Systems
- Diagnosing problems and making repairs to existing equipment; blast freezers and chillers
- Troubleshooting methods, replacing parts, and running tests after repairs
- Upgrading systems to satisfy new regulations or meet new standards
- Maintain Existing Refrigeration & HVAC Systems
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years experience at a similar level in an FMCG food manufacturing business – ideally in the meat industry
- Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
- Diploma/Advanced Craft Certificate in refrigeration or any related certificates
