HME Maintenance Manager Lumwana Mining Company

Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly energetic, committed and passionate persons for the position of Heavy Mobile Equipment Maintenance Manager to join the versatile Maintenance team.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and executing on strategies to deliver industry best asset performance at Lumwana Mining Company together with creating an enabling environment to achieve and exceed the business plan. Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

Promoting and ensuring compliance with the Safety & Health and Environmental policies, standards, procedures, and regulations.
Preparing and delivering on the annual mining maintenance budget in collaboration with both mining and reliability teams.
Improving reliability of critical equipment to ensure that major production stoppages are averted, and budget availabilities, reliabilities and throughput is achieved.
Maintaining the company’s assets in a responsible manner through allocation of maintenance resources,critical spares and demanding quality of workmanship Assist in reducing maintenance response times by providing appropriate communication and information to maintenance personnel.
Integrated demand planning with supply chain in order to optimize stock levels and prevent write-off of obsolete stock.
Conducting life cycle costing analysis of major equipment to inform decisions on replacement/refurbishment/component change out.
Implementing“Best Practice” maintenance standards and systems aligned to Barrick standards.
Operational readiness planning & management of new fleets being introduced including support equipment, facilities and infrastructure.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a management role in Heavy Mobile Equipment maintenance in mining industry
Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent with demonstrated ability to lead the team.
Good track record of compliance to safety regulations and promoting safe work practices.
Eligible member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
