Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) is a statutory body established in 1970 under the Nurses and Midwives Act No. 55 of 1970 with an express mandate to regulate nursing and midwifery training, education and practice. The Act was repealed and replaced by the Nurses & Midwives Act No. 31 of 1997 and Nurses & Midwives Act No. 10 of 2019, which redefined the functions of the Council and expanded the scope of practice for nurses and midwives.
The Council is therefore, inviting applications from highly motivated, result oriented, qualified and experienced persons to fill the positions of:
GRADE: NMCZ 4
JOB PURPOSE:
To undertake the storage and distribution of goods in order to facilitate smooth operation of the Council.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)
a) Undertakes effectively the storage of goods in order to ensure availability and safe custody of goods and materials.
b) Uundertakes efficiently stock control in order to maintain optimal stock levels.
c) Undertakes timely the distribution of goods in order to ensure availability to End-users
d) Undertakes effectively the maintenance of records of goods in stock in order to enhance accurate information for decision making.
e) Undertakes effectively the identification and disposal of redundant, surplus, scrap and obsolete assets in order to obtain maximum residual value and facilitate decision making.
f) Undertakes timely development of work plans and implementation of the Annual Performance Appraisal System (APAS) in order to enhance performance
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to Purchasing and Supplies Officer.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
a) Minimum Primary/Secondary Education
Full Form Vor Grade 12 School Certificate.
b) Minimum Vocational/Professional Qualification
Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies.
c) Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience
2 years
d) Communication Skills
Written Skills
Able to write technical reports.
Oral Skills
Able to communicate effectively in English
e) Other Skills/Attributes
Computer literate.
Interpersonal skills
Integrity
f) Must be a member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
