Our client, an international logistics company on the Copperbelt (Zambia) is looking for a qualified and experienced Human Resource Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Serve as an advisor to other staff members regarding internal HR policies and other relevant regulations.
- Work with higher management to assess the company’s hiring needs
- Manage all phases of the hiring process and assist with posting job ads, conducting interviews, shortlisting candidates, and onboarding new employees as needed
- Oversee compensation evaluations, benefit audits, and diversity planning
- Organize career development and general HR-related workshops and training programs for all new and current employees and evaluate their effectivenes
- Serve as a mediator in employee conflict and decide on corrective actions when required
- Assist the line managers in the performance appraisal process, such as scheduling meetings and filling the performance appraisal forms
- Support compliance with all relevant legislation
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, Business Administration, or any related field
- At least 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in a supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge of HR practices, administration and Zambian Labour laws
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in conflict management and great relationship-building skills
- Ability to take initiative and maintain confidentiality.A member of ZIHRM.
