The Marketing Manager (MM) is responsible for achieving the school’s revenue and growth objectives by developing and implementing effective student recruitment and parent engagement strategies. As the direct Business Partner of the Head of School (HoS), the MM has a mandate to manage the school’s marketing autonomously. The MM is a marketing expert with a hands-on approach and serves as the main point of reference internally for all marketing-related matters while maintaining a strong relationship with external key stakeholders (partners, ambassadors, service providers, etc). The MM utilizes their analytical skills to optimize strategies and provides data-driven guidance to support decision-making. The MM manages support functions, including admissions, telemarketer and parent relations, and leads others with influence and assertiveness.
The ideal candidate should:
- Possess extensive knowledge of marketing techniques, as demonstrated by a track record of successfully managing conversion cycles and utilizing real-time data to formulate actionable recommendations.
- Be customer-focused and able to understand the needs and preferences of their target audience
- Possess a creative mindset, with an eye for innovative solutions and fresh ideas.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Exhibit an ability to anticipate and solve problems, with a solution-oriented mindset and the capacity for critical thinking and holistic perspectives
- Display an intrapreneurial spirit, characterized by autonomy, assertiveness, and self-motivation.
- Demonstrate agility, with a knack for both detail-oriented and big-picture thinking, as well as the ability to balance critical and strategic perspectives.
- Have a natural sense of leadership and is a team player who values collaboration.
Job accountabilities:
- S.he defines the school’s marketing (student recruitment and parents’ relation) strategy, based on group guidelines, her understanding of the local market and own expertise
- S.he provides his/her management with insights and recommendations based on analysis of facts and data
- S.he supervises and coordinates the local marketing team (admission officer, parents relation officer, telemarketer) to implement the marketing strategy
- S.he makes sure the school achieves its new enrolment target and a constant positive organic growth
- S.he makes sure the school achieves a minimum of 90% and constantly increasing student retention rate, and achieves a high level of parent satisfaction and engagement.
- S.he is the guardian of the Enko Brand in his/her country and ensures Enko is the School of Choice for parents
- Acting as the primary interface between the Hos and Central marketing team
- S.he reports to the Head of School and has a dotted-line reporting to the Regional Marketing manager.
The candidate must be legally authorized to work in Zambia.
