As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for performing daily and monthly financial duties as described under responsibilities. In order to be successful in this role, the individual should possess good computer skills particularly the Microsoft package Excel and the accounting package Sage 200 as this will be an added advantage.
The applicant should have the ability to work under pressure and very little supervision.

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANTS JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Budgeting and budgetary control.
- Capturing of transactions such as customer invoices, supplier invoices, payments and receipts in Sage Evolution Accounting System.
- Systematic filing of source documents and of journal vouchers, issuance of receipts and banking.
- Processing of the general ledger transactions and preparation of weekly working capital reports.
- Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and systems.
- Preparation of Bank and control accounts reconciliations.
- Monitoring the use of fixed assets and maintaining the register.
- Debtors and Payables management.
- Conducting stock takes and stock reconciliations.
- Tax compliance and efficient filing of NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE and WHT Tax returns before the due dates.
- Processing payroll transactions and inputs.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by your supervisors from time to time.
