They now want to fill a vital role of a Procurement Officer to add further value to their Lusaka based dynamic team. This opportunity is ideal for talented persons, keen to make immediate contributions and prove their caliber.

Purpose: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Procurement Officer will be in charge of all procurement matters.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (K.P. A’s)

1.Procurement Strategy: Develop and Implement procurement strategies aligned with Organizational goals and objectives

2.Supplier Management: Identify, Evaluate and select suppliers bases on quality, price and delivery capabilities.

3.Procurement Process: Oversee the end-to-end procurement including requisitioning, purchasing, inventory management and delivery. Must be able to identify for cost saving without compromising on quality, process improvement and supplier relationship development

4.Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage procurement budgets and forecast. Monitor and Analyze expenditure.

5.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies within the procurement process

6.Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities including spending analysis, supplier performance and cost saving achieved.

To be successful, candidates must;

Be a Holder of a CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) Certificate
Have 3 Years experience in Procurement
Have strong negotiation, contract management and supplier relationship management
Be Proficient in using procurement software and systems
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
To be successful the candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the industry.
