Biomass Engineer Export Trading Group

Title: Senior Biomass Proposal Engineer

Location: Southern Africa (SADC)

Reporting line: Head of Climate Desk Africa.

Role Responsibilities:

· Support projects for Biomass fed boilers in southern Africa

· Responsible for downstream sales and technical advise of biomass to boilers

· Preparing accurate feed plans to boilers considering all technical properties & calorific values ensuring smooth boiler operations

· Prepare Budgets for equipment needed and lead installations of such

· Analyzing energy output on the feed and compare against baseline output

· Plan and execute adjustment and sizing of biomass as per boiler requirement (drying, milling, pelletizing as needed)

· Develop and Manage Biomass Storage Solution for the Business

· Maintaining contact and good relationships with the relevant stakeholders (internal ETG teams tasked with project implementation, other verticals of the Group, 3rd party project developers / owners)

Essential Requirements:

· Background knowledge in energy and steam

· Technical skills similar to Biomass boilers

· Atleast 2-3 years in the sector

· Sales experience

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a real team player

· Willingness to travel plus project deployment as needed
