Duties And Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Leadership.
  • Developing and expanding the business, in accordance with the overall objectives set by Management, in collaboration with marketing and regulatory functions.
  • Accountable for the direction and performance of the organisation including all commercial activities in the country.
  • Driving the organisation including the teams, processes, culture, and recruitments.
  • Establishing strong relationships with distributors, partners, and related stakeholders.
  • Leading the country with the objective to maximise business performance and productivity, by setting clear goals and consistent communication of expectations.
  • Close contact with health care professionals in the market and encouraging them of the importance of using our scientifically proven products for their patients.
  • Providing direction when managing customers and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Identifying growth opportunities.
  • Coaching and developing the teams to ensure the successful operation of the Business.
  • Building and directing teams to achieve set goals such as increasing market share, increasing profits, cost reduction and/or operational efficiency.
  • Participating in negotiations of legal agreements with customers and / or business partners.
  • Responsible for the budget and P&L.
  • Reporting on company performance and developing strategies for improvement.
  • Representing the organisation to its customers, financial community, and the public.
  • Ensuring the implementation of compliance policies, with the aim to evolve compliance culture and risk awareness.
  • Working in collaboration with all regional stakeholders.
  • Coordinating and supporting the stock management and shipment of the products within the region.
  • Alignment with Company Procedures; ensuring that all activities of inputs and outputs are correct, the resources are sufficient, processes are monitored, records are kept, performance is measured and, when necessary, reporting on any issues.

Professional competencies

  • Relevant qualification.
  • 3 years within a leadership position with relevant experience.
  • Sales & Marketing experience.
  • Must have a strong network in Zambia, preferably in the Healthcare Industry.
  • Must have strong negotiation skills and willing to work extremely hard in a fairly young entity in Zambia.
  • Must understand the technical background of how Pharma and/or Medical Device industry operates.
  • Strong Commercial experience.

Personal competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Must be an all rounder.
