Job Purpose:
The HR & Training Officer will develop and administer training programs for employees, assesses training and development needs for organization. The HR & Training Officer will also help employees and HODs develop skills and knowledge for them to effectively execute their duties. Work closely with the HR & Admin Manager on handling all training, rewards and recruitment assignments.
Summary of Key Duties
- Implement all training courses as agreed with HODs
- Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
- Work closely with HODs to come up with effective trainings
- Screening of candidates
- Confirm interviews the day before so as to ensure candidates arrive on time
- Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
- Prepare and manage the annual training budget
- Assess employees’ skills, talents, performance and productivity and prepare written evaluations with advice for improvement
- Reviews existing training materials
- Modify course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Business/Public Administration or any Business Field
- Must have a minimum of at least 3 – 4 years’ work experience HR aligned to training and development
- Must be familiar with modern techniques of training.
- Must be a member of ZIHRM
