To Maintain All Mechanical Repairs On All Company Fleet (Trucks) and Facilities Associated With The Repair and Maintenance of All Trucks.
Main Responsibilities
- Vehicle repairs and maintenance to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and fitness approved
- Supervision of routine vehicle inspections and subsequent repairs
- Planning vehicle service schedules for all vehicles and equipment
- Involvement in the procurement and ordering of spare parts, tools and all necessary wares for vehicle maintenance to ensure quality of spares procured.
- Attending to vehicles breakdown during and after working hours, in and out of normal workstation
- Supervision of delegated tasks to all technicians in the workshop
- Periodic performance reviews of subordinates
- Production of quality workshop reports
- Maintaining and coordinating health and safety programs, including inspections and compliance activities
- Ensuring good housekeeping in the workshop
- Ensure all workshop cost are below budget
- Zero fatality and lost Time Injuries in the workshop
- Complete truck project(s) within targets
- Train 100% of subordinates on Trucks maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Must be a member of Engineering institution of Zambia
- Degree/Diploma in Automotive Mechanics/Electronics or equivalent at least five years post-qualification experience
- At least two years in a managerial role
Knowledge / Exposure to fleet operations, mechanical and electronic systems is an added advantage
