Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching effectively in order to impart knowledge and skills by regularly assessing the performance of pupils in order to determine and supply appropriate interventions.

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

1. Scheming of work within syllabus.
2. Making review and projection of the term.
3. Writing records and reports on work covered.
4. Designing and performing practical experiments.
5. Training the learners spiritually, mentally and physically.
6. Liaising with fellow teachers in the Department on work schedule.
7. Promoting Extra Curriculum Activities (ECA) programs in School.
8. Securing and protecting materials in the Computer Studies Laboratory.
9. Ensuring safety of learners in school and guide them towards achievements.
10. Organizing, conducting, facilitating and recording School Based Assessments (SBAs).
11. Preparing lesson plans and sequences of lessons with clear objectives to ensure successful learning by all students.
12. Demonstrating an excellent ability to teach, manage students and maintain discipline.
13. Facilitating learning activities in school by using the most effective teaching methods to achieve teaching objectives.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Grade 12 certificate.
2. Must have high Ethical Standards.
3. Bachelor of Computer Studies with Education.
4. Registered with Teaching Council of Zambia.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
