GART wishes to invite applications for the following vacancy:
LIVESTOCK RESEARCH OFFICER (Re-advertised)
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
A minimum qualification of a Degree in Animal Science from a reputable institution with at least 5 years industry-related experience.
MSc in Animal science will be an added advantage.
Have proven experience in conducting adaptive and applied research in smallholder livestock systems
Practical experience in performing artificial insemination on small and big livestock
Proven Competence in animal breeding techniques
Ability to build strong working relations with public and private sector partners
Skilled in Project Planning
Must be able to contribute to knowledge transfer through writing of scientific papers, technical reports and implement technology dissemination programmes.
Should have strong business acumen and be able to work with minimal supervision
