The key purpose of this role is to safely operate and maintain the Utilities plant to produce a consistent product/service/utility of the right quality/quantity at optimum cost.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Prepare for plant start up .
- Start up plant.
- Run the plant.
- Shut down the plant.
- Execute cleaning of plant
- Complete all documentation.
- Control inputs usage
- Ensure plant is in working order.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment.
- Measure performance attributes
- Record performance attributes
- Monitor and evaluate trends.
- Assure quality of inputs
- Initiate corrective action.
- Prepare for maintenance tasks.
- Conduct autonomous maintenance tasks.
- Conduct breakdown maintenance tasks.
- Reduction in time to detect and time to correct defects .
- Completed 5 Whys Job cards.
- General housekeeping at work area
- Implementation of VPO routines
- Adherence to PPE policy
- Identification of unsafe practices (SIOs)
- Safe maintenance practices
- Maintenance tools in good working order
Profile:
- Min – Full Craft Certificate in engineering or plant operations
- Ideal – Ordinary Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering
- Min 3 years in FMCG manufacturing industry
- Computer Literate
- Ability to work in teams.
- Team player and good communication skills
