About our client:

Our client AME Trade Ltd is a leading event organizer focusing on Africa and are the organizers of the Zambia International Mining and Energy Conference and Exhibition which is staged annually in Kitwe.

The company is a dynamic, young, and rapidly developing company working in emerging markets and is looking to expand its dynamic sales team to develop their portfolio of events in Zambia and the Southern African region.

About the role:

AME Trade is looking to recruit an experienced, driven and motivated Conference and Exhibition Sales Executive to work individually on Zambia International Mining and Energy Conference and Exhibition (ZIMEC). This is an exciting role for a candidate who enjoys working in a lively environment and developing their talents in international sales especially in the African Continent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop/ sell ZIMEC to new clients
  • To sell sponsorship, adverts, exhibition stands, and delegate places associated with ZIMEC
  • To qualify new leads
  • To maintain and constantly update a sales database
  • To maintain and develop business relations with Government bodies and key players in Zambia
  • To develop contacts with relevant associations which are relevant to the event
  • To perform any administrative tasks as deemed necessary
  • To travel to our events and to deal in a professional manner with clients on site

 

Requirements:

  • At least 6months sales experience
  • Fluent written and spoken English is a pre-requisite for the job
  • A track record of minimum six months in a sales related field
  • Should have a basic knowledge of emerging markets countries geography and politics
  • Project Management skills as the role implies managing other team and departments
  • A person with initiative who can develop their own sales leads and clients
  • A passion for selling and excellent interpersonal skills
  • You should expect to travel occasionally and work in challenging conditions
  • Educated to at least graduate level
  • Knowledge of Zambia’s neighbouring countries including DRC and South Africa is a plus

Compensation:

The incumbent will receive a monthly salary of  ZMW 5,000 and 20% commission on all sales
