To support this vision, KMRL would like to recruit an experienced and qualified individual for the following position in the underground Medical Department.
Medical Laboratory Technologist
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To perform diagnostic tests on specimens and report findings.
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform tests and record findings of all tests conducted.
Liaise with clinicians on tests results
Ensure that all specimens retained for analysis are stored correctly for testing and safely disposed off after analysis.
Maintain stocks of reagents and chemicals.
Compile monthly statistics of all tests undertaken.
Ensure that laboratory equipment is well maintained and calibrated
REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 school certificate
Diploma in Biomedical Sciences
2 years practical experience
Competence in working with common automated laboratory analyzers.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Pharmacy Technologist PURPOSE OF THE JOB Supports the Pharmacological services by maintaining pharmacovigilance, stocking, recording, assembling and distributing medications and other Pharmaceutical products. MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluating information on written prescriptions for completeness and accuracy/refill requests from patients Locating, dispensing, packing, and labelling of prescribed medication for a patient. Delivering quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests and referring them to the Senior Pharmacy Technologist / Clinical Pharmacist for medical information. Maintaining the drug inventory, performing monthly inventory audits in both SAP/Hospital dispensing system. Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock, prepare needed medications and supplies by placing, expediting orders and receipt verification Maintain patient and pharmacy records. Costing of prescriptions for fee paying clients. Conduct pharmacovigilance and submit adverse drug reaction (ADR) reports to the Clinical Pharmacist. Compile monthly statistics report. REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 school certificate Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised institution.
