The Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) a body corporate and responsible for regulation of public procurement in Zambia invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for appointment into ZPPA’s establishment for the following position:
E. JOB TITLE: TEMPORARY OFFICER – EGP (3 POSITIONS)
1.0 PURPOSE
To effectively provide support to the e-GP system users on various tasks performed on the e-GP system.
2.0 STATEMENT OF MAIN DUTIES
2.1 Provide e-GP technical support and training to PEs and Suppliers;
2.2 Undertake e-GP system user training in order to impart required knowledge on usage of the system;
2.3 Train clients on how to create system profiles, tenders, notices and other related matters on the e-GP system;
 
2.4 Prepare training and other reports for supervisor’s attention and for further action; and
2.5 Performs other lawful duties assigned by superior from time to time.
 
3.0 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least five (5) credits or better including English and Mathematics.
Vocational or Professional Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply or CIPS Graduate Diploma.
Relevant Post Qualification Experience: Minimum one (1) year work experience in public procurement.
4.0 OTHER SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Good writing and ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients and other stakeholders in order to provide support on the e-GP system;
Ability to comprehend system reports and prepare reports;
Customer Service oriented; and
Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) with a practicing Certificate for 2023.
5.0 TENURE
The position of Officer-eGP is on temporary basis of employment.
