Contract Duration: 3 Year renewable based on performance
Eligibility: All AAAG Member Countries.
The Organization would like to recruit an outstanding, results- oriented, self-motivated, versatile and a professional individual of high personal integrity with appropriate academic, professional qualifications and experience. The Chief Executive Officer shall have credible corporate leadership attributes to fill the leadership role in the Organisation.
The Chief Executive Officer reports to the Executive Committee (EXCO). and key to the compilation of strategic direction of the Organization, promoting the culture of strategy execution, enhancing the quality of service, and collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve the relevant strategic outcomes. He/she will also be responsible for Member Country recruitment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, develop and implement Organizational policies while providing guidance to ensure the creation of a high and agile Organisation with high ethical and governance culture that will achieve the strategic objectives to the expectations of the stakeholders;
- Set strategic direction in collaboration with the EXCO by superintending on the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the Strategic Plan, Budget and work plans while ensuring accountability to the diverse stakeholders.
- Financial management of ensuring adequate funding to enable the Organisation finance its operations and development plans and ensure accurate and timely financial performance reports are provided.
- Efficiently and effectively manage the Secretariate staff performance by developing annual performance agreements with key staff and timely reviewing them mid-termly and annually in line with the provisions of the Strategic Plan and work plans as provided for in the Performance Management System policy, while maintaining a productive and good working relationship with staff, service providers and other stake holders.
- Ensures the Association’s compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory and legislative imperatives.
- Provides accurate and timely reporting of the Association’s financial and general performance in line with good governance.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Master’s Degree in Economics/Commerce/Public Administration/ Law/Financial Management/Business Administration/Chartered Accountant or relevant and equivalent qualification plus eight (8) years of demonstrable and progressive work experience at an Executive Management level.
2. Honor’s Degree in the above qualifications plus ten (10) years’ work experience at a Senior Management level.
3. Senior Management Experience in capacity building shall be an added advantage
DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES
a) Strong stakeholder management skills;
b) Conversant with Financial Management/ Business Administration/ Law / Chartered Accountant/ Economics/ Public Administration.
Excellent interpersonal, lobbying and influencing skills with experience in engaging with all classes of stakeholders in the domestic, regional and international settings
{clients, Government, partner organizations, Cooperating Partners, the Business Community and other stakeholder};
c) Excellent oral and written communication skills – French is an added advantage
d) Possess the highest levels of personal integrity;
