Banani International School is a private, not for profit, residential school for girls from Grades 8 through 12. Established in 1993 and registered with the Ministry of Education, it is governed by the Board of Directors of the William Mmutle Masetlha Foundation and administered by the Principal.
The School is seeking for a qualified Teacher of English for Grades 8-A Levels with the following:
Job Purpose
The Job holder will be responsible for preparing and delivering well-structured and differentiated lessons to Pupils in the secondary section of the School. The position holder will be expected to develop and stimulate the learners in subject-specific competencies.
Responsibilities:
- Taking responsibility for a class in a specific subject, supporting, nurturing and taking a genuine interest in the holistic development of individual children in that class
- Developing and enriching professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences and CPDs.
- Enforcing regulations concerning learners conduct and discipline.
- Planning and implementing a relevant, challenging and rigorous curriculum;
- Designing and delivering lessons, ensuring attention is given to appropriate differentiation
- Contributing to collaborative learning at all levels of school life
- Selecting relevant resources and leveraging digital tools to support and enhance learning;
- Play an active role in the School’s extra-curricular programmes.
Key Competencies and Qualifications:
- Full Grade 12 certificate with 5 Credit or better;
- A Bachelor of Education with English, with three years working experience in a reputable School.
- Qualified teacher registered and licensed with The Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ)
- Must be familiar with the school pathways of Examinations Councils of Zambia (ECZ) and
Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) - Must be computer literate
