We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to be based our BIA site in Lumwana.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
In his/her role, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for:
SAFETY
- Ensure the safety of Warehouse personnel and warehouse contents through enforcement of all safety programs and improvement initiatives.
- No LTI, MTI, FAI, Environmental and Property damages, to be personally fully site and company compliant.
- Ensure Information visible on noticeboards, i.e., processes, 5S, Safety topics, KPI’s, BIA general information, first aider, HSE Rep etc.
- Ensure housekeeping and all preventative safety activities e.g. Take 5, JHAs, Toolbox talks, pre-use inspections, management of MSDS and hazardous products.
- Participation in all HSE activities e.g. training, campaigns and reporting.
Perform a min 1 work area inspection weekly.
LEADERSHIP
- Management of people; preparation of effective rotation schedules, motivation, and maintenance of discipline in staff.
- Ensure that all meetings are attended, and all scheduled reporting is submitted with Action plans to address any gaps.
- Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with management and other team leads. Monitor workplace performance and lead training activities and induction for new members.
- Ensure that all customer Queries are attended to and satisfied with solution given.
- Do 10 Face 2 face meeting (on a yearly basis) with your N-1 and keep track records of what has been discussed/agreed (like action plan).
OPERATIONS
- Management of parts within the warehouse to ensure stock accuracy to be within company KPI policy. All variances must be investigated before being written off. Appropriate action plan must be proposed to Supervisor for implementation and monitoring.
- Claim management- Ensure claims are done in accordance with BIA Policy entered in Qualipro by the intended parties and follow ups are done until claim is closed. Receiving Register to be maintained.
- Ensure that weekly Recons are submitted on time and parts supersessions are checked and communicated to both PSSO as well as the customer.
- Ensure stock holdings are in line with contract obligations- highlighting gaps when risks arise.
- Ensure that on all shipments received IBD dates are Entered before a shipment is received and Receiving Report is maintained.
- Ensure that all warehouse activities are finalized on time i.e., STOs, GRs, GIs etc.
- Maintain documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities by monitoring status of filing and update status of trackers for all processes on the BO Portal, i.e., claims, non-conformity, all HSE, manual DN’s, customer returns, parts on the OBD awaiting customer pick-ups and share the trackers with stakeholders once a week.
- Daily checking of LL01 for anomalies as well as managing of TBD and XDC. LL01 to be maintained in green by COB.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel – able to create and work with Pivot tables, lookup functions etc.
- Valid ZIPS practicing certificate.
- Valid driver’s license (manual and Automatic)
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management is required.
- 5-7 years’ experience in Warehouse Management at a senior level
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
