University of Lusaka Teaching Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled medical team to join our Hospital on both Full time and Part time basis in the following fields
1. Anaesthetist
Job Purpose
To evaluate, monitor, and supervise patient care before, during, and after surgery, delivering anesthesia, leading the Anesthesia Care Team, and ensuring optimal patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ medical history and develop individualized anaesthesia plans.
- Administer anaesthesia for surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust anaesthesia levels as needed.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Provide post-anaesthetic care and pain management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent.
- Anaesthetic residency and certification from a recognized institution.
- Valid HPCZ medical license to practice in Zambia.
- Strong knowledge of anaesthesia drugs and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
